base*station on US rollercoaster

Now serving launch: Thunderbird, the nation’s first launched wing coaster uses hazebase foggers and pumping station.!

What? No lift hill? That’s right! Thunderbird launches riders from zero to 60 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds through a cloud of Fog. The riders propel the fog out of the barn and into multiple loops, rolls, twists and turns begin: including a 14-story Immelmann loop, Zero-g roll, barrel roll, and the tallest vertical loop on any wing coaster! Hazebase High powered Foggers provide the perfect atmosphere for this awesome roller coaster. At launch, a burst of fog from two machines covers the riders adding to the intense moment where they are shot out of a barn.  A challenge for this attraction was to get the large amounts of fog fluid up to the platform every day.  The hazebase pumping station was used to pump fluid from a large drum on the ground to the foggers on the platform above.  Froggys Fog provided the complet solution for Holiday Worlds newest attraction.

Continuing Holiday World’s tradition of sending roller coasters through thickly wooded and hilly terrain, Thunderbird steel roller coaster at first soars and loops high in the air and then hugs the ground, surprising riders with rapid-fire “near misses” such as chimneys, a windmill, other rides, trees, and even <gulp!> a barn.
